Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 plus car allowance £6,000 and generous package
Location: London – flexible and remote working available

The Role:
Our client has a new and exciting role within their Digital Products and Services (DPS) function, and they are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative professional to support the continued growth and development of their digital business. This key role will require a combination of business development and technical direction combined with strategic internal and external relationship management. This role will report into the Head of DPS to collectively lead their team, products and projects depending on requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Digital Innovation Factory management
- Digital research and development lead
- DPS CRM management
- DPS key account manager representation
- User research gathering and needs identification working externally with clients and internally with product/service owners
- Bid production using the companies processes and tools
- Product Management
- Project Delivery
- Input into DPS Strat Plan and Business Plans
- Input into the Dev Roadmap for Products Work with and support the Head of DPS to achieve the Strategic and Financial Objectives
- Building and maintaining excellent client relationships
- Continue to build the talent and capability of the DPS function to deliver leading services for our clients
- Ensure excellent quality in delivery to the agreed cost and time targets
- Influence and input into the continuing development of innovative and unique approaches that give a differentiated and exclusive position to Digital
- Assist in the definition and implementation of DPS’ marketing and sales plan
- Team responsibilities – management, leadership, talent development, reviews/appraisals talent retention and recruitment
- Cross selling of digital opportunities within the company
Key Relationships with this role:
- Supporting the Head of DPS to help grow and develop the DPS team from both technical and business development standpoints
- The role will be required support the direct management of Project Managers, Data Scientists, Analysts and Software Developers whom in turn with be
- managing a team of similar disciplines (permanent and supply chain)
- This role will be a blend of business development and technical authority in the DPS function working closely with existing project managers and subject
- matter experts across the wider business
- Close relationships with the Head of DPS and the team will be essential for the successful growth of the business function
Required Competences:- Demonstrable experience in the management and delivery of digital services in multisector asset intensive industries
- Excellent client engagement, long term relationship development capability and experience
- Excellent insight and forward-thinking strategic capability in the sales and development of digital products and services for utilities – combining industry
- accepted processes and practices with the latest technology
- Prior experience of scoping and delivering successful digital products and/or services
- Sector experience across Water and/or Energy with preferable Renewables experience
- Successful people manager with proven capability of cultural and behavioral change programmes
- A high level of challenge and questioning ability
- A driven, ‘Seller/Doer’ mind-set
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build and leverage internal/inter-departmental relationships
- Effective and compelling communicator both written and oral
- A professional Engineering qualification and or IT/Software background applied in asset intensive industries would be a strong preference.
- Membership of the Institute of Asset Management would be preferable
- Experience in digital solutions for asset intensive industries
- Educated to technical degree level (Third level technical qualification)
- Practical experience in Agile working methodologies preferably Scrum.
- Use and management of DevOps for development and project activities.
- Experience in a similar or complementary field (direct delivery and/or sub-contracting)
- Contract negotiation and management

- Use of proposal generation tools such as ‘Proposify’ – desirable
- Utility knowledge and contacts
- Software development processes (full stack awareness)
