The Role:
The Lead / Senior Project Manager is key to the delivery of projects and programmes at the agency. Highly collaborative and adept at balancing people and process, you are the guardian of quality, scope, profitability and culture for your projects and programmes. You will manage multiple discrete projects or programmes of work from initial client briefing to final delivery, ensuring that the on-time and on-budget outcome not only meets the requirements, but is true to the vision.
Supporting all departments, from strategy and UX to creative and technical, you will know your projects inside out and, working in close partnership with account management, drive the production of first-class solutions that meet the clients’ business and marketing goals and the agency's financial targets.
You will manage, mentor and train midweight and junior project managers as required and support the Head of Implementation in delivering a project management culture and function that is creative, collaborative and robust.
The responsibilities of the role:
Project Planning
  • Identify and organise projects into key phases of delivery according to client requirements.
  • Add value to the creation of the project definition, contributing thoughts and ideas based on the client brief.
  • Produce high-level and detailed project plans, identifying resource requirements, agency and client tasks, key dependencies and risks.
  • Help to instill a culture of commercial ownership from the whole project team.
  • Coordinate creative, strategic, design and technology leads to create an agreed project approach and associated deliverables.
  • Draft Task Orders and Change Requests for approval and clearly communicate agreed deliverables to all team members.
  • Assist with the drafting of clear and concise design, copy, IA, technical and QA briefs for approval by department heads.
  • Support the Head of Implementation on pitch opportunities for rapid turnaround of deliverables, costs and timings.
  • Build and develop relationships with suppliers and freelancers for as and when additional resources are required.
Project Delivery
  • Be the guardian of culture, scope, quality and profitability on your projects.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, teams and stakeholders across clients.
  • Throughout delivery, continually liaise with traffic managers and department heads to ensure appropriate resources are booked and released without risk to quality or timely delivery.
  • Use your experience and common sense to resolve issues around costs, deliverables and deadlines, escalating to the Head of Implementation as appropriate.
  • Work in partnership to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, instilling confidence in your project control and commitment to their goals.
Process and Resourcing
  • Work with the whole implementation team to ensure a consistent approach to delivery across clients.
  • Contribute thoughts and ideas for improving communication, collaboration and process.
  • Work with other senior project leads to plan project management resources and make recommendations to the Head of Implementation on capacity, development and allocation.
Financial and Administration
  • Produce project progress and financial reports for the Head of Implementation.
  • Be responsible for your numbers, including appropriate resourcing and negotiations with external suppliers.
  • Create project completion reports and organise and document project washups.
  • Work with the Account team to develop client plans to deliver increased revenue.
Technology and Creativity
  • Contribute to the assessment of client technology decisions.
  • Support clients in CMS/platform set up, content population and data migration.
  • Deliver and document CMS/platform training for clients.
  • Support the configuration and admin of internal digital tools.
  • Review and interrogate all UX and creative work for technical feasibility, suggesting alternatives, solutions and opportunities as required.
  • Help to educate and train internal teams on designing for platforms.
Key Experience
  • Experience of defining and delivering CMS based website design and build (Umbraco or Kentico a nice to have)
  • DemonstrableunderstandingofgoodUI,customerjourneys,andwebdesign.
  • Experienceusingprojectplanning,taskmanagementandbugtrackingtools.
  • Abilitytodistilandcommunicatecomplexissueswithclarity.
  • Exceptionalorganisationalskillsandstrongattentiontodetail.
  • Consistentdeliveryofsuccessfulprojectsontimeandonbudgetthrough effectivescopinganddeepunderstandingofrequirements.
  • Experience of working with content management systems, ecommerce products or SaaSplatforms.
  • ExperienceworkingonprojectswithAPIintegrationsandhelpingdevelopdata mappings.
  • Committed to promoting strong teamdynamics.
  • Experience working in a creative digitalagency.
  • Good understanding of digital technologies and languages (e.g. HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, CMS, CRM,eCommerce)
