Job Description:

With a huge choice of hotels, airlines, transfers and holiday deals. They are one of the UK's favourite and longest established travel companies.
The Role:
We are looking for a vibrant, creative, and experienced Head of Marketing/Brand champion who can develop an effective communication strategy for our brand across a range of online and offline marketing channels. You will be charged with improving our online and offline reputation/NPS, creating our campaign calendar and responsible for large TV and offline media budgets as well as being the main contact between the customer and the business holding our relationship with PR.
Reports To: Group Marketing Director
Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning the brand guidelines, TOV and supervising advertising and website messaging and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in company branding.
  • Working closely with our SEO & PR agencies to devise & execute campaign content strategies.
  • Owning and communicating the marketing calendar across the business.
  • Championing the customer throughout the business and setting in place a “best in class” retention strategy across marketing channels and communication touch points.
  • Managing a small UK based team of social, crm and content executives and holding relationships with various internal and external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Owning the offline marketing and sponsorship budget.
  • Improving our online/offline reputation and NPS as well as liaising with customer support and PR in light of any negative PR stories.
  • Consistently developing and refining our vision of the customer through external data analytics and brand surveys.
  • Organising media events, award entries, press trips, blogger outreach, photo shoots etc.
  • Managing and prioritizing onsite content work streams with internal and external teams and freelancers.
  • Analysing the success of marketing campaigns, creating reports and managing channel/marketing budgets.
  • Leading the creative process for all marketing campaigns both online and offline including TV, online video (YouTube), Social and Web.
Candidate requirements:
  • Educated to degree level
  • 5 years + as a marketing manager/head of marketing in a well-known UK brand (travel preferable)
  • Highly organised and experienced team manager.
  • Excellent knowledge of offline media buying and TV creative.
  • A creative thinker and campaign creator.
  • Comfortable using data to develop commercial insights
  • Commercially astute and able to manage complex media buying budgets.
  • Clear and confident communication skills and the ability to influence peers and senior management
  • Previous Travel or Retail experience preferred
  • Technical Skills – Excel, Powerpoint – some experience in Google Analytics and Social listening/Brand measurement tools are beneficial.
