The Organisation:
 
We are currently working with a leading European IT services organisation with 5,000 staff. Headquartered in London, they have offices globally. Supporting the full software lifecycle, they design and build digital solutions for their clients in a variety of industry verticals. They speak their customers’ language and their delivery is world class. Their solutions transform systems, platforms and processes for the world’s leading brands in Capital Markets, Banking, Payments, Insurance, Media, Retail, Travel and Telecommunications. 
Role:
As the UX Lead, you will run research projects in a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients. You will draw on your broad UX experience in formative and evaluative research projects and deliver spectacular insights that enable our delivery teams to create innovative and user-centric digital products for our clients. You will collaborate closely with other members of the Product Strategy team and manage your own Consumer Insights team members.
 
Main responsibilities:
 
• Meet with clients to understand the business challenge and their customer needs
• Collaborate with UX research to plan and conduct formative and validation research
which will uncover user motivations, jobs-to-be-done and pain points
• Map out user journeys and as-is task flows working with either subject matter experts or
with input from the research team
• Design and run cross-discipline ideation sessions to identify opportunities and develop
innovative solutions
• Create the assets (low-mid fidelity wires/prototypes) needed by the research team for
usability testing
• Estimate and roadmap UX activities in high-level and brief the near-development Design
teams ensuring they are always clear about what is expected and that what is designed
for development delivers on the strategic/business objectives
• Build clear narratives that link business/digital strategies to design decisions
• Create high-level measurement plans that ensure the client knows what to measure and
what success looks like
• Build relationships within the business to help support and develop new and
existing clients, demonstrating the value User Experience and UX Research can bring to
engagements
• Work directly with clients to help define products and product roadmaps
• Manage and mentor other members of your team
• Work alongside enterprise architects to ensure experiences meet the technology
requirements of the client
• Work alongside Engineers and Business Analysts to deliver the feature roadmap,
 
 
Required skills and experience:
 
You will have experience working in a similar role for a minimum of 1 year as well as having
previously worked for a minimum of 3 years as either a UX Designer/Architect, Service
Designer or user-focused BA/PO
• You aren’t expected to be a technologist but you will be confident in front of clients when
talking about technology with a demonstrable grasp of how software and software
experiences are built
• You will be a strong verbal, written and visual communicator with a grasp of industry
standard design and prototyping software, especially Sketch, InVision
• You will have experience in user experience methodologies and practices, including
user-centred design
• You will have demonstrable experience designing and facilitating co-creation sessions
and collaborative workshops with stakeholders and users
• You will be able to create feature roadmaps (using user story maps or similar) using
your knowledge of task flows and user journeys and working with our architects to
understand dependencies
• You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate research and data into
meaningful and creative insight
• You will have a solid grasp of business commercials and use this experience to shape
proposals
