The Role:

They are really after someone from a digital/technical delivery background who has stepped up to be more focused on digital strategy, ideally with agency experience (or ready to make that jump), and comfortable to talk to clients enthusiastically about digital and technology. We need a true digital innovator!
Be responsible for the digital vision, ensuring that we are constantly taking advantage of new technologies to help us create innovative and effective products, tools and services.
The Head of Digital will be an ambitious, enthusiastic and strategic individual who thrives off innovation and has the ability to focus on the management and development of the digital products.
The responsibilities of the role:
  • Innovation: working closely with the Client Services team and Creative Director and other teams to develop innovative digital solutions and concepts for pitching to clients; being current, informed and on trend with technology and the various methods of delivery to compliment the services offered; constantly reviewing the technology and delivery standards to maintain or set the competitive bar within the market; encouraging and inspiring technical team (and others) to be innovative; translating digital vision into new client opportunities.
  • Implementation& problem-solving: with the assistance of your team, you will be required to advise on the best way to implement and deliver projects; ensuring continuous delivery of technical services at the highest standard; approaching issues and resolutions offered in a cost-effective manner; ensuring internal infrastructure complements production/post-production activities;  develop business case justifications & assess risks for technology initiatives.
  • Team development: lead, manage & mentor your teams of web developers, media engineers and IT to ensure they work successfully, efficiently and collaboratively.
Other responsibilities

  • Oversee multi-channel digital delivery and ensuring client satisfaction of digital output (i.e. webcasting, websites, mobile platforms, engagement campaigns, etc.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with suppliers, technology platforms and industry contacts
  • Encourage innovation through successful tech partnerships
  • Motivate, inspire and encourage agency teams to deliver the best results on-time and within budget
  • Continuously look for new ways of improving the agency's offering through new technologies and tools
  • Introduce new products and services to clients
  • Oversee the efficient provision of the office connectivity and IT requirements
Experience and skills:
  • Excellent communication skills: this is a client-facing role
  • Commercial awareness internally and the ability to be a chargeable asset in the digital consultancy arena
  • Experience in developing and delivering digital campaigns including social media
  • Excellent knowledge of analytics and reporting
  • A concise and acute understanding of the corporate field and culture
  • Innovative and proven ability to generate solutions
  • Skilled at leading teams and encouraging collaborative working
  • A creative eye and attention to detail
  • Some coding knowledge and experience of managing development teams
  • Some knowledge and understanding of streaming technologies
  • General Understanding of office IT infrastructure
  • Online video experience as well as a general understanding of broadcast studio/video production workflows.
