The Organisation:
Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a start up online mortgage service who is part of a global consultancy. They have huge investment in this fintech business and at the start of huge growth.

The Role:
You will be the responsible for the day-to-day running and ongoing development of digital products and associated business activity. You will have both the authority and availability to answer design related questions and deliver directionto the internal and external teams. You will be the business’s representative for the web design agency, 3rd party vendorsand business partners.
Working closely with the Fintech Director you will be responsible for the business case /ROI and for decidingwhich activities will produce the most business value. You will conduct the business requirements briefings, ensure the design process and the digital team remains true to the business vision/ambitions to achieve a successful outcome.
You will manage the digital assets, drive usage, providing innovative ideas and continuous improvement suggestions based on performance metrics and analytics to ensure the digital assets remain relevant and deliver customer and business value.
The responsibilities of the role:

  1. Facilitation and management of the digital team and stakeholders:
    • You will work closely with the Business Analyst and Product Designer to design and direct the technical team to ensuring correct procedures are being followed, the right resource has been allocated, and issues and risks are regularly reported. You will be able to challenge the technical team and Business Analyst/Product Designer to ensure key build decisions make good sense for the business.
    • You will work closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure you and the team understand and adhere to FCA, ASA and GDRP requirements. You will need to evaluate these requirements, their impact on the customer experience and the commercial success of the business and seek to agree the best approach for implementation.
    • You will work closely with stakeholders across related businesses, suppliers, and other businesses, which the success are dependent, to ensure their continuing support.
  2. Design and build of assets to achieve sales targets:
    • You will know from previous digital experience where the trade-offs will need to be made and what is the correct path to pursue. You will align digital designers, business stakeholders and technology teams behind the conceptual thinking for the digital assets being built and to keep them focused.
    • You will drive continual enhancements of digital assets through user testing, and assessment of sale activity and competitor activity.
    • You will work closely with mortgage brokers to optimise/streamline the cross-channel customer journey.
  3. Drive the digital business. Analyse and report on performance:
    • You will develop and execute robust B2B2C and D2C digital sales optimisation strategy and plan to meet or exceed agreed targets.
    • You will continually analyse digital sales performance to inform continuous improvement of the digital sales journey.
    • You will work closely with marketing people (internal and external) to optimise the quality and volume of leads and the cost of generating the required sales conversion.
    • You will work closely with mortgage brokers and property surveyor firms to optimise sales through cross channel integration.
Understand and comply with all relevant rules, regulation and legislation applicable to your role. 
  • Acting with integrity and due skill, care and diligence at all times.
  • Ensuring that customers are treated fairly at all times.
  • Ensuring that communications via any medium meets the principle of 'clear, fair and not misleading' and are compliant with data protection and privacy laws.
  • Undertaking relevant internally arranged training on systems, processes and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
  • Identifying and escalating (through your line manager) risks that impact the business, customers or other third parties.
  • Reporting (through your line manager) any issues and/or system/process failures that may impact on the service to customers or regulation and legislation rules.
  • Proven experience working in B2B2C and/or D2C financial product online selling, ideally with mortgages or loans.
  • Experience working within start-up or small digital business. Knowledge of corporate organisational behaviour would also be useful but essential.
  • Proven experience in working with conceptual digital ideas, user interface design prototypes, user testing, technical specifications.
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to spot opportunities and writing business cases.
  • Capable mediator and decision maker between technology, end users and business interests. Ability to bridging business, digital and technical teams, by speaking everyone's language.
  • An affinity with digital technology and understanding of the complexities of digital systems and processes, and the impact of change and dependencies on project delivery.
  • Proven experience managing 3rd party’s vendors /agencies and adept at matrix management.
  • Strong verbal and written skills - capable of communicating your thinking through PowerPoint and Word docs and presenting to business stakeholders.
