The Organisation:
The Digital recruitment company is working with a growing travel and leisure company offering their services across Europe.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of the Brand strategy, underpinned by a Marketing Plan and Activity Calendar to support the overall business strategy and company targets, including new and existing products.
  • Build the brand’s profile and positioning to establish the brand and maintain its presence in the minds of the target internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create cutting-edge CRM and Social Media strategies which will differentiate the company from its competitors whilst also driving conversions
  • Understand the target customer, gaining insight and developing a segmentation to cascade through the team.
  • Ensure development of consumer and trade communications and marketing through all available channels including digital
  • Further develop and position the Brand, working with internal resources and external marketing and advertising agencies to develop strategic campaigns aimed at driving revenue growth
  • Develop a Social Media strategy and program to drive awareness and incremental sales
  • Lead the digital trading team to ensure KPI’s are achieved and sales targets are met.
  • Understand and develop the brand and aspirations to deliver incremental revenue growth in a highly competitive environment.
  • Measure and track the channels from a ROI perspective, against set targets. Analyse post promotional campaign data and make recommendations for future promotional campaigns.
  • Drive meaningful traffic to the website through a mix of initiatives and channels, aligning all campaigns across channels for consistency and impact.
  • Taking full ownership of marketing in terms of briefing requirements and ensuring that cost efficiency/value is achieved with external parties.
  • Work effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that the Marketing and Communications strategy/activity is aligned the business to maximise revenues and profitability.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends. Conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives to better understand the target customer and their requirements.
  • Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets.
  • Plan and implement effective PR campaigns.
  • Manage website content and updates as required.
  • Manage the brand guidelines through other departments.
Experience and skills:
Results driven with the ability to thrive in a highly pressurise, fast paced trading environment, with the ability to demonstrate significant achievement in a similar or retail trading environment.
A self-starter who thrives in a result driven, creative environment with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and motivate the team.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate clear strategic thinking and remain hands on. They will need to be able to work in an entrepreneurial set up that has high growth ambitions. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate the following from previous jobs:
  • Building a strong brand identity in a highly competitive environment.
  • Developing and executing consumer/customer focused marketing communications plans, on & off line
  • Driving consumer/customer propositions through all digital channels and deliver a new CRM platform
  • Delivery of concurrent projects with competing timelines and resource limitations.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Customer centric, ensuring all commercial decisions are made with the customer at the heart of the process
  • Able to lead, motivate a small team and to identify and attract talented individuals into the company.
