The Role:
The CRM Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the UK & Irish online customer journey, from getting prospects clued up about all of the innovative products that our client has to offer, to helping educate and boost referrals.
This position involves wearing different hats as part of the UK Marketing Team but also the central CRM team in their HQ and you will be the first dedicated CRM Manager for the UK region. You will be required to project plan, manage stakeholders, create and present reports and just get things done. All of this will need to be achieved against challenging delivery timescales and with multiple moving parts. You’ll get your hands dirty with tactical implementations and ‘test and learn’ approach to achieving growth.
The role will report to the UK Head of Marketing in London with a dotted line into the Head of CRM in their HQ.
Key aspects of the role:
- Work on the day-to-day building of communications in SalesForce Marketing Cloud, content calendar planning, and sending of all emails and push notifications
- Implement test-and-learn plans to optimise channel performance (e.g. improve open rates/ conversion rates etc.)
- Handling HTML and CSS code, SQL queries, and managing transactional flows - not afraid to play with code
- Develop effective email content with the Content Marketing Manager. Some copywriting will be required.
- Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of marketing automation projects
- Have a clear understanding of the customer database and segments in order to build accurate and personalised automated journeys.
- Work with our creative team to build new email templates and test new creative elements
- Collaborate with wider UK team to support customer communication requirements
- Work closely with their Retention team to limit customer churn and expand retention
- Work closely with the Global Marketing Automation team to optimise the email and push operations.
Experience:- A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with any ESP but at least one year using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- A moderate working knowledge of email HTML
- Excel / G-sheet competency and data handling, numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to blend this semi-technical email marketing background with an entrepreneurial ‘high-growth’ mindset. You must be comfortable working in a fast growth, where you can assess and prioritise your own work and liaise directly with a range of stakeholders across the business
- You are likely to be degree educated (or have equivalent experience or qualifications)
- Fluent English is essential and copywriting skills are highly desirable as you will often be required to write email copy.
- Experience working in Financial Services and understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements is desirable but not essential.
The Skills:
- You are willing and excited to take initiative and fully own your remit within the context of a fast paced and ever-changing environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to learn
- Organised and efficient, high attention to detail, and able to prioritise while managing multiple campaigns
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience - you will be working very closely with many individuals and teams in their HQ, and so exceptional relationship-building skills are imperative.
