The Role
The Content Marketing Manager, Early Careers is responsible for leading the strategy, creation, and performance optimization of content that attracts, educates, and engages students who are exploring careers in the investment industry.
This role is essential to raising awareness of the organization’s brand and offerings among early-career audiences and driving consideration and adoption of its programs and credentials. From editorial planning to content development and performance analysis, the Content Marketing Manager will orchestrate high-impact, student-centric content across digital channels and formats. They will collaborate across departments to enhance the student experience and ensure consistency of the brand.
Essential Function:
Content Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement a student-focused content marketing strategy aligned to brand, business, and enrollment goals.
- Map content to the student journey—raising awareness of investment careers, driving interest in the profession, and promoting the organization’s programs as a pathway.
- Collaborate with integrated marketing, product, and regional teams to align messaging, campaigns, and content priorities.
Content Planning & Development
- Own and manage the editorial calendar for student content across owned (website, blog, social, email) and paid channels.
- Produce and commission a variety of content types including blog articles, videos, career stories, downloadable guides, and social media assets.
- Translate complex industry topics into accessible and compelling content for a global student audience.
Campaign & Channel Integration
- Collaborate with campaign managers, web/SEO, paid media, email, and social teams to ensure content is optimized and integrated across the student marketing ecosystem.
- Partner with the creative studio to deliver high-quality, on-brand content that meets deadlines and business needs.
- Support key student moments and initiatives (e.g., events, launches, academic partnerships) with targeted content assets.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Define content KPIs and leverage analytics to track and report on reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
- Conduct content audits and use insights to optimize performance, fill content gaps, and continuously improve strategy.
- Implement test-and-learn approaches to improve messaging, formats, and content experiences over time.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Serve as the go-to content lead for student and university marketing initiatives, providing guidance and updates to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with subject matter experts, curriculum teams, and university programs teams to source authentic content that reflects the student, university, and investment professional experience.
- Ensure content complies with brand standards, editorial guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field; finance or business education a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or editorial roles.
- Experience developing content strategies and managing multi-channel content programs for youth, student, or early-career audiences.
- Familiarity with the investment industry, financial education, or career development content is strongly preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a focus on accessibility and audience relevance.
- Proficient in content and campaign management tools (e.g., CMS, marketing automation, project management, and analytics platforms).
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Excellent people skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation.
- Fluency in English required, knowledge of additional languages would be useful.
