The Role
The Internal Communications Manager will work closely with the Senior Director, Internal Communication. You will play a key role in driving forward the internal communications agenda. You will be responsible for helping to drive the internal communications and engagement plan, working with stakeholders from across the business to source and communicate relevant information to the right people at the right time via the right channels. This role will also partner with the Senior Director, Internal Communications developing and delivering change management communications on a global scale.
You will help to build a network of advocates to support employees with communication best practice tools and channels. You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and experience of writing engaging content for digital channels.
You will support the business in the delivery of the regular program of internal communications and events that engage employees with our clients vision, strategy, values, and strategic initiatives to positively influence and reinforce the evolving culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in creating and executing integrated internal communications and change management plans for the organization and its leadership.
- Support global employees understanding and alignment around the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives; advise on and design communications plans and their implementation; elicit and measure employee feedback; assess the success of channels, messages, initiatives throughout the year.Â
- Help with the design and execute communication plans and initiatives, linking organizational goals to communication strategies, messages, and vehicles.
- You will be a key player in planning and executing all-staff events such as town halls and have a thorough working knowledge of the tools needed to execute such meetings in a virtual environment and in person environment
- Manage multiple communication channels to keep employees up to date with company information all while ensuring employees have the right information at the right time.
- Develop key internal relationships to establish timelines needed to direct, create and publish content to the company's corporate intranet site and various communication channels, ensuring that it is current and engaging
- Partner with internal and influence key stakeholders to provide communication advice that reflects an understanding of their business needs and enables them to be effective spokespersons.
- Curate and produce compelling stories about our organization, products, and people across a variety of channels (e.g., Intranet, email, newsletters, videos, etc.) to improve awareness and understanding
- Work collaboratively with other colleagues worldwide to ensure an integrated, effective approach across messaging, channels, and processes.
- Support organizations global Town Hall by providing technical support
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum five plus years of experience in the communications field, with a proven track record in corporate and executive communications. Must have experience working with all levels of an organization.
- Good command of the English language that includes creative writing and design capabilities, with experience producing highly creative and engaging themes, campaigns, written copy, visuals, and multimedia communications for global audiences
- Experience in communicating organizational change
- Professional experience where strong attention to detail
- Global cultural orientation and working experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Ability to create new and unique ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit a plus
- Very high level of organizational and time management skills
- Ability to see the big picture, shape messages and transform complex ideas into accessible, reader-friendly communications.
- Strong execution discipline with large-scale complex global programs, and skilled in project management and change management techniques
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of additional languages is useful
