The Role:
 
The role exists to build customer retention and engagement through CRM automation and triggered lifecycle marketing. If you love data and technology and bringing personalisation solutions to life, this role is for you.
 
With the onboarding of a new omni-channel engagement platform (Braze) their goal is to drive a material step-change inpersonalisation and targeting of their CRM communications through harnessing the value of their data. To achieve this, we are looking for a CRM Engineer to build out their CRM automation and personalisation offering.
 
The CRM Engineer will work closely with their CRM platform, technology partners and alongside the rest of the CRM team, to add data points, segmentation properties and personalisation. Furthermore, this person will also work on ensuring that the data and reporting we get from Braze can be used to further grow and optimise their activity.  
 
Working closely with the rest of the CRM team on multiple projects, you’ll help improve their customers experience via data-driven automation across all relevant digital touchpoints.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • Deliver the strategic marketing automation roadmap to drive retention and loyalty ensuring a material step-change in personalisation and targeting of their automated communications through harnessing the value of their data
  • Ideate, build, QA, deploy and optimize automated campaigns across the customer lifecycle using email, push notifications, in-app messages, SMS and other digital channels to deliver measurable impact
  • Responsible for CRM platform structure and architecture, while working collaboratively with technical stakeholders (including InfoSec, DWH, Data & Insights) ensuring it is works seamlessly across the organisation and captures all required information at key points in the customer life cycle
  • Utilise Braze capabilities to orchestrate cross-channel activity and 3rd party technology such as Movable Ink and Phrasee to increase customer engagement and response
  • Use a test, learn and optimize approach to ensure continual improvement
  • Use reporting, analytics and attribution tools to build and investigate key user funnels, segmented retention charts and behavitheiral analyses to find problems, opportunities and campaign ideas
  • Turn experiments into complex lifecycle flows using triggers and segmentations that intelligently send campaigns with both static and dynamic content
  • Closely monitor campaign delivery and work closely with the Data & Insights and BI Teams to conduct robust statistically significant reports against core retention KPIs
  • Regularly meet with the CRM Manager to share campaign results and agree amends to future activity
  • Work with Digital Marketing and Digital Product teams to develop CRM opportunities within their wider digital channels
  • Comply with all legal and Company policies and procedures regarding health and safety to ensure you work in a manner that keeps you and ytheir colleagues safe
  • Comply with all applicable UK and Ireland Data Protection and ePrivacy legislation and report non-compliances where identified to the Data Protection team
  • Responsible for actively participating in performance development process to ensure knowledge and skills remain current and relevant for role.

Accountability:
  • Lead the automation strategy in line with the over-arching CRM and business strategies
  • Ideate, build, QA and deploy automated CRM campaigns
  • Drive retention and engagement of customers through automation and triggered lifecycle campaigns
  • Ensure are using the best CRM technology available (within budget and contractual restrictions) and it is being used to it’s optimum, ensuring remains ahead of the curve in automated lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Accountable for the implementation and management of CRM technology  
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the CRM team and a variety of teams including but not exclusively Digital Marketing, Digital Product, S&I, DWH and BI
 
Experience & Knowledge:
 
  • At least 3 years experience in a technical CRM role
  • Previous experience with Braze or similar omni-channel engagement technology
  • Solid experience creating personalised user jtheirneys and lifecycle automations
  • Experience working with personalisation technology such as Movable Ink
  • Technical understanding of broadcast solutions, deliverability etc
  • Be adept in CRM reporting, data extraction and analysis. Can pull together Case Studies, Pre campaign forecasts and post campaign evaluations.
  • Hands-on, organised, and detail-oriented while not losing sight of the big picture
  • Obsessed with improving the experience of their users
  • Good understanding of how SDKs and APIs work
  • A challenger mindset to help us evolve their ways of working
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • An understanding of social, digital display and how these areas can work within the CRM world
  • The ability to demonstrate successful Project Management experience in a fast paced environment
  • Understanding best practice in Data Protection in CRM marketing
  • Ability to quickly familiarize ytheirself with new tools + 3rd party solutions.
  • Experience of working with attribution tools such as Appsflyer, Branch
  • You have experience working with product, tech and data teams for complex data/tech requirements gathering, documentation and QA
  • Passion for solving complex interaction problems and ability to take charge of ytheir time and meet deadlines
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications
