The Role:
This role will develop and execute the growth strategy, delivering impactful digital and marketing strategies to effectively acquire, activate and retain subscriptions to meet organisational objectives stemming from their new business plan.
This role will ensure the continued growth and success of their streaming service, having responsibility for product evolution and development, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and develops with their ambitions. Working closely with the Head of Brand Marketing this role will support maximising the customer lifetime value.
They are a charity that generates 80% of their income themselves. Half of their UK audience is typically from outside London. They invest in strategic relationships to take theatre working into supportive partnerships. This work plays an essential role in place-making, makes an increasingly important contribution to UK economic growth, and presents the best of UK creativity and innovation to the world.
Key Responsibilities- Responsibility for driving progress against their Home roadmap, including product development, distribution and monetisation for the platform
- Manage and deliver, supported by the team, the plan for at Home, including leading the marketing strategy to deliver against key business objectives across conversion, engagement, revenue growth and retention of our subscriber base.
- Work in partnership with the Head of Brand and team including CRM and Social to develop and deliver a compelling strategy to ensure audience growth and engagement.
- Manage the relationship with key sponsors and the Development department to ensure opportunities to leverage additional income opportunities are maximised.
- Collaborate with the Head of Programming and Head of Production & Content to optimize distribution opportunities for their long-form digital content, ensuring income opportunities are maximised, measuring sales performance, and reaching financial targets.
- Collaborate closely with the Deputy Director of Digital Products to ensure distribution opportunities are maximised across their digital output.
- Develop strategic brand partnerships to drive awareness and new audiences with relevant offers.
- Drive marketing innovation within the department, identifying and test new channels and tactics in pursuit of increase revenue generation and audience reach including managing the budget, optimising spend and delivering ROI.
- Ensure the OTT platform remains fit for purpose, including managing the roll out of new functionality and ensuring subscriber experience and engagement is optimised.
- Manage and motivate teams of highly performing and highly skilled cross-functional staff. Ensure team members perform at a consistently high level and that they deliver on strategic objectives
Person Specification- Proven experience managing an SVOD/OTT platform delivering subscription growth. Strong understanding of and experience within the OTT and D2C media environment.
- Substantial experience of creating and delivering innovative B2C and B2B marketing and engagement strategies. Proven ability to running complex marketing campaigns aligning audience development objectives with commercial targets
- Proven track record of delivering a successful growth marketing strategy.
- Substantial experience working collaboratively with Social and CRM on strategy and delivery.
- Extensive experience managing strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- A track record of managing a motivating team in a fast-paces environment, supporting their professional development and ensuring a collaborative and supportive workplace
- Strong oral and written communication skills to engage a variety of audiences and excellent planning and organisational skills.
