Location: London/Hybrid working 2 days in the office

TDRC careers are thrilled to be working with a leading media production and distribution company. Based in London and operating internationally they have a team of talented staff with impressive broadcasting and media backgrounds.
 
When they formed 13 years ago, they quickly established a reputation as a business network for the whole media supply chain. This progressive organisation have a unique ability to bring customers and suppliers together to increase understanding, drive change, and create business opportunities.
 
They are looking for a Head of Marketing who understands how media is created and distributed and who will be an integral part of their continued growth.

The Role
You will work directly with the CEO, CTO and COO and lead their marketing and communications team. This will bring you into daily contact with senior leaders from an unparalleled range of media companies -  from major international broadcasters and global technology giants, to a huge range of hardware and software vendors, startups, and production companies. You will be a key individual in our team, helping to take the company to the next level of its growth both in terms of revenue and profile within the worldwide media industry.
 

What will you be doing?
  • You will be accountable for the overall marketing & communications of the company.
  • Creating effective marketing plans for all company activity and ensures those plans are targeted in the appropriate way for the appropriate audience.
  • Managing a small team of marketing professionals, who assist in developing those plans, and executing them.
  • Managing communications to members: promoting our work and maximising the engagement that members have with our outputs.
  • Managing communications to non-members: supporting our membership growth by promoting the company’s brand and its outputs and generating membership sales leads.
  • Supporting our account management by building relationships with key individuals in the company’s member companies, notably the Marketing leaders.
  • Working with the CTO and Technology Strategist to articulate business requirements for how our technology stack, including our Website, should support our marketing activity, and provides day-to-day management and ownership of our marketing tools.
  • Working with the Business Development Manager to develop sponsorship and revenue opportunities associated with our events, reports, and other outputs.
 
 
What we are looking for
  • Strong marketing & communication skills with at least 5 years working in marketing.
  • Experience developing and executing a marketing strategy that delivers against business objectives.
  • Confidence with using a wide range of online tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate a large volume of data to identify trends and messages that matter.
  • The interpersonal skills that make you an effective member of our team and respected by our customers.
  • An ability to solve problems.
  • A broad understanding of how media gets created and distributed, and knowledge of some of the best-known companies.
  • Good writing skills
  • An ability to work to deadlines.
