The Role
The Events team runs a range of international and national healthcare events. These include large scale conferences around the world, awards evenings and national conferences and webinars.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Marketing Executive to work in this busy and close-knit team. The role will entail the management of all marketing activities across a portfolio of in-person and online events with a specific focus on performance marketing elements.
You will support the team in meeting their objectives for attendees, sponsorship, exhibitors, and speakers by implementing effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
You will also devise, manage, and direct marketing activities to drive delegate acquisition and lead generation for the event business.

Responsibilities- Input into the marketing strategy for each event and lead on creating and implementing tactical plans across multiple channels
- Working closely with an agency to manage and develop paid performance marketing strategies for customer acquisition and retention, including PPC and social, and share expertise across the wider team
- Provide oversight, manage, and generate reports for all major channel metrics, using it to inform channel strategy, planning, and optimisation
- Report back on performance to internal and external stakeholders focused on delegate bookings, abstract submission, brand and engagement
- Develop compelling and clear messaging for a broad audience including healthcare leaders, practitioners, and professionals from around the world
- Write clear and engaging copy for emails, social media, web, digital and print advertising
- Work with a designer to produce printed and digital collateral such as event guides and banner advertising
- Identify relevant prospective audiences for each communication channel
- Owning the updates of events websites, ensuring timely updates of messaging, programmes and all landing pages as well as creating new ones as needed
- Budget tracking and reconciliation of marketing expenditure across the events.
Skill, Experience & Qualifications- Effective copywriter who shows pride in attention to detail and can adapt their writing for email, web, social and print
- Can demonstrate they have independently planned and managed multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Passion for email marketing and a savvy user of email software (experience with Adestra will be ideal)
- A solid understanding of digital marketing across paid, owned, and earned channels
- Experience of major SEM platforms - Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads etc
- Experience of managing PPC, and familiarity with important account metrics and account structuring
- Respect for deadlines and excellent time management with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and confidence in managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience in events marketing a definite plus.
