The Organisation:
Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a global investment management organisation who have operations in 20 countries and manage £1Trillion worth of assets for clients. They have over 7,000 employees and are looking to grow the digital distribution which has brought CRM, marketing and tech together. 
The Role:
You will be responsible for the Global AEM Program Sprint Backlog and identifying specific customer needs, prioritizing features and guiding the work through execution, so it solves the needs of all the regions. Furthermore, taking loosely defined concepts and communicates detailed requirements, success criteria, of the global capability/component so it can be built once and leverage locally via configuration
The responsibilities of the role:
  • Has backlog priority authority in collaboration with the regions and collaboratively defines the Epics/user stories and acceptance criteria for all the global features and capabilities.
  • Ensures the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed. Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Ensures that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all regions, and shows what the Global Web Scrum Team will work on next.
  • Defines and maintains the sprint release roadmap which shows what will be delivered in each sprint/release for the current quarter.
  • Responsible for continuously identifying, defining, prioritizing, and validating the detail user stories and epics of the global capabilities/features. Accountable for making sure that there are two sprints worth of defined stories in the global backlog.
  • Orders the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions, Optimize the value of the work the Development Team performs and ultimately accepts the work as done from the team assuring it meets the needs of all the regions.
  • Works closely with the Global Project Strategist to align the backlog with priorities defined in the Global Product Strategy Roadmap.
  • Communicate progress, raise risks and issues to senior management, including Global Product Strategist
  • Shield teams from external influences not relevant to current sprint work
Experience and skills:
  • Agile product management, especially with large-scale, distributed web products
  • Digital (Web/Mobile) product ownership experience required
  • Expert level knowledge of scaled Agile process and principles preferred
  • Experience using Jira/Confluence is preferred
  • Experience in financial services/asset management preferred
  • Deep understanding of the Adobe Experience Manager and its suite of tools is required
  • Experience with Lean/ Lean Start-up and User-Centered Design methodologies
