Product Marketing Manager

Job Type: Contract role Initial term 12 months

Salary: Excellent Competitive day rate – DOE

Location: London  WFH/Hybrid/Flexible

Consultant: Mags Rendle

The Company

Our client is a globally recognised, purpose-led organisation that is shaping the future of investment education and professional development worldwide. Through industry-leading qualifications and learning solutions, they help investment professionals build the knowledge, skills and ethical foundations that underpin stronger financial markets and better outcomes for investors.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created Product Marketing function and play a key role in a significant international growth programme. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Marketing, you'll help shape how a portfolio of globally recognised education products are positioned, launched and scaled across international markets.

With expansion plans underway across Brazil, Mexico and Japan, alongside further global growth opportunities, you'll have the chance to influence market entry strategies, localisation initiatives and product adoption on a truly international scale.

Sitting at the intersection of Product, Marketing and Customer Insights, this is a highly strategic Product Marketing role focused on market intelligence, positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategy rather than campaign execution. It's a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Product Marketer looking to build a function, influence product strategy and make a visible impact within a growing global team.

The Role

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing product marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption and growth across a portfolio of education and certification products.

Working closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Insights and Regional Marketing teams, you will define compelling value propositions, develop differentiated market positioning, deliver go-to-market strategies and provide customer and market insights that inform product decisions.

The successful candidate will combine strong strategic thinking with a deep understanding of customer needs, helping to drive product growth, market expansion and commercial success across a global product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Execution & Brand Positioning

  • Execute go-to-market plans for product launches, feature enhancements, and portfolio updates.
  • Develop and maintain product positioning and messaging frameworks that clearly communicate customer value and differentiation.
  • Translate product features and technical concepts into compelling customer-facing messaging, collateral, and sales narratives.
  • Ensure consistent positioning across campaigns, digital channels, and sales enablement materials.

Customer & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct customer, competitor, and market analysis to inform segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Transform qualitative and quantitative research into actionable insights that support product and marketing decisions.
  • Support strategic recommendations through data-driven market intelligence.

Sales Enablement & Commercial Support

  • Develop impactful sales enablement tools, including pitch decks, battle cards, FAQs, webinar content, and objection-handling guides.
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to refine messaging and support commercial objectives.
  • Deliver product training and support to internal stakeholders to strengthen product knowledge and market understanding.
  • Contribute to revenue-driving initiatives through strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer acquisition and retention.

Marketing Performance & Optimisation

  • Monitor and analyse key marketing performance indicators, including lead quality, conversion rates, campaign effectiveness, ROI, and market penetration.
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement across marketing activities.
  • Utilise marketing technologies, analytics platforms, CRM systems, and CMS platforms to execute and measure campaigns.
  • Support budget tracking and performance reporting activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management on product lifecycle planning, research initiatives, and feature prioritisation.
  • Collaborate with demand generation, customer advocacy, and regional marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across markets.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to support alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring delivery against key timelines and business objectives.
  • Apply structured planning and prioritisation techniques to maximise commercial impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, marketing workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills

  • 4-8 years' experience in product marketing, brand marketing, or a related commercial marketing role.
  • Proven experience supporting go-to-market launches and driving product adoption in competitive environments.
  • Strong ability to translate complex product features and technical concepts into engaging customer-focused messaging.
  • Experience conducting customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence activities.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, sales, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Experience measuring and reporting on marketing performance metrics, including conversions, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong customer and market analysis skills, including segmentation and target audience identification.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of revenue drivers, pipeline development, and pricing considerations.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials and supporting sales teams with market insights and messaging.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, CMS platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation, and project management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience within financial services, professional education, certification programmes, or EdTech sectors would be advantageous.

Why Apply

Whatever your long-term career ambition, you will be joining an organisation that will provide you with the flexibility and support to develop your career. They offer a collaborative and welcoming environment, including hybrid working, and are committed to helping their employees achieve their full potential.
