Salary £50,000 - £70,000 DOE inc Car allowance + Commission & future equity scheme

The Organisation:

They are a pioneering solution provider for building and lighting control systems. Their engineers have evolved the art of connecting, controlling and communicating with a wide range of new and old sensors, and digital ecosystems.

They are now building a network of trained system integrators and solution providers globally to benefit from this system, expand the product offering and increase revenue by providing complete solutions for new customers and their existing users.


The Role:
Following recent investment and growth, this progressive company seek a Business Development Manager to work across the sales cycle: identifying target markets and potential customers.
 
I am looking for an experienced BDM in solution sales who will take ownership of identifying and developing leads, working closely with marketing, managing after-sales and customer support queries, and will thrive in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Identify and research new markets and potential client accounts
  • Generate and maintain a sales pipeline through targeted marketing initiatives
  • Qualify and develop inbound leads
  • Foster relationships and develop opportunities in existing resellers and system integrators
  • Gather and share insight into success of marketing activities
  • Identify and attend marketing events including trade shows and other promotional events
Skills & Experience:
 
  • A passion for sales and the Internet of Things technology
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Tenacity and an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in software and/or solution sales, technology marketing and/or associated business development role
  • Business proficiency in English. Additional languages desirable.
