Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a rapidly growing tech scale-up whose goal is to help people work better. Their software dramatically improves the functionality of Microsoft Office for finance professionals and is used by firms like KPMG, HSBC, Deloitte, and BNP Paribas to create outstanding reports and presentations, more efficiently.
The Role:
Our client is looking for a for a content champion to help them craft their stories and deliver impactful, relevant and actionable content. Basically: you love words. And you can create powerful and compelling stories for our different stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be leading their Content Team (a Junior Content Specialist and a Content Manager), sitting withing their multi-disciplinary Central Marketing team and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Operations. You’ll be based in their London office, which is one of five globally, alongside Paris, New York, Singapore and Berlin. You'll work closely with your marcomms teammates in France and London, as well as their Product, Sales and Client Solutions Consultants teams worldwide.
The content team create high-value materials to engage prospects and clients at every stage of the funnel. You’ll get to know, inside-out, the topics their clients and prospects care most about, and lead the team to create high-quality, valuable content which addresses these.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Devising and implementing a content strategy that supports this wider marketing strategy
- Building and maintaining a happy, skilled and empowered content team (currently 2 direct reports)
- Ensuring the right processes and tools are in place to ensure both excellence and efficiency
- Creating the quarterly content schedule, ensuring maximum value from resources and ensuring publication deadlines are met
- Prioritising incoming requests and projects (e.g. from sales/CS teams)
- Managing high-stakes, global projects
- Owning editorial charter and ensuring the excellence of every piece published on central channels (final sign off on all EN content created by marketing team)
- Writing excellent briefs and reviewing content plans and drafts
- Monitoring content performance and reporting to relevant departments
- Working with Traffic Manager to ensure solid SEO + SEA strategy
- Maintaining existing content (on website, in PowerPoint library etc.)
- Keeping a close eye on industry trends and competitors, and proposing ideas for impactful new content
- Developing their PR strategy, working with agencies on specific campaigns

Skills and attributes
Must-haves:
- Native-level English speaker
- Excellent communicator (in all forms)
- Exceptional copywriter and editor, with experience writing for a variety of mediums and audiences
- Skilled at identifying relevant topics for core personas (including SEO research)
- Accomplished strategist able to devise and execute on your ideas effectively
- Firm believer in high standards, with impeccable attention to detail
- Inspiring and supportive manager who leads by example
- Exceptional project manager, with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Comfortable working closely with senior colleagues including local Heads of Sales and C-suite
- Has a killer instinct for creating great content
- Experience developing strong relationships with internal clients such as sales and product, both to provide support and also leverage their knowledge
- Strong understanding of PR strategy
- Experience managing (or ideally implementing) content tools (e.g. content automation tools, CMS, webinar platforms etc.)
- Good level of SEO knowledge
- A strong eye for design
- Analytical mindset; able to assess content effectiveness, using relevant tools such as Google Analytics
Qualifications and experience
You must have:
- A degree from a top university in English or related topic
- UK work eligibility
- 4-5 years’ experience creating high-quality content for a B2B SaaS company with long sales cycles
- 2-3+ years managing a content schedule and being responsible for final sign-off on all content
- 2+ years’ experience in managing content creators
- Experience/strong understanding of finance sector
