The Company
TDRC are delighted to be working with a well- established and growing digital print business with a Head Office in South Devon. They have a wide portfolio of printed products for large household-name clients including Snapfish, Funky Pigeon, Boots, Tesco, Jessops, and Asda, delivering these products directly to the consumer.

The Role
The Head of IT provides senior leadership within IT and the organisation overall to inform and execute our strategy of providing a world class production workflow solution, deliver robust client and back-end infrastructure and ensure our services remain secure. This position oversees all the organisation’s IT services and business systems across the UK and Czech facilities ensuring they are fit for purpose, meet agreed upon SLAs and the people in team are developed, given room to grow.
Be part of the global leadership team for IT representing the organisation’s IT across the sister businesses of District Photo and PrimaPMI.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Strategic Leadership
- Inform and execute the IT strategy aligned with the overall business objectives
- Support the delivery execution of the global workflow across the organisation, DPI and PrimaPMI
- Provide leadership to the Infrastructure, Software Development, and Test/Release teams, fostering innovation and excellence.
- Continue to modernise our backend infrastructure and business systems
People Leadership
- Foster an environment for an enthused and well aligned team
- Develop the team members through coaching, providing mentoring and learning opportunities both at the company’s Head Office and offsite training
- Embed core values and culture with the team members focussing on collaboration and
- Empower the management team to make decisions and drive continuous improvement themselves and through the team
Planning and Organising
- Create an aligned, well governed roadmap of technical delivery across infrastructure and local software development. Create business engagement with the roadmap ensuring visibility and input from key stakeholders
- Develop a set of key performance indicators and embed these within the department
- Manage the IT budget and identify cost saving initiatives
Security and Risk Management
- Develop policies and procedures that
- Achieve certification for the company against appropriate security standards and conform to industry recommended practices
- Undertake effective risk management and report regularly to the CIO
Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing Infrastructure, Software Development, and Test/Release teams.
Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development methodologies, and testing/release management processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
Proven experience in budget management and cost optimization.
Relevant certifications and advanced degrees in IT management or related fields are a plus
