The Role
As a key member of our Creative Studio team, the Content Manager and Copywriter will be joining at a pivotal moment as they expand and scale their business from 2 buildings to 14 by 2027 and grow their innovation programmes. This role plays a very important part in unifying all communication across the business, ensuring they create and deliver a cohesive narrative, delivered consistently in their tone of voice, and communicate with their target audience through the most relevant channels.  
 
The Content Manager and Copywriter will build brand authority with powerful content and curated communications channels delivering impact and cut through their key audiences harnessing their three values: innovation, collaboration, and positive change.
 
They want to attract the UK’s most innovative companies to join their buildings and programmes, from new start-ups to large established corporates. We also want council leaders, property developers and key city players to see the value of adding a new hub to their city. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • The Content and Social Media Manager is a critical role in delivering our brand proposition with impact and cut through. You will be responsible for creating and executing our digital and social and content.  
  • Ownership of a company-wide content calendar ensuring we are working in an efficient and effective way to deliver brand authoritative and engaging content to our multitude of audiences  
  • Ownership of content story telling strategy and content creation for all blog and news stories 
  • Ownership of developing a social media strategy that will encompass growth goals 
  • Tone of voice guardian for the whole company, training and advising others in the company to be brand advocates
  • Work with people of all levels across the different areas of the company to collaborate, develop content strategies, create a balanced content calendar that covers all priorities, and get relevant approvals before publishing drafted content
  • Work with the Creative Studio team on website projects, ensuring copy and photography is on brand 
  • Working with local marketing teams to ensure live ‘on the ground’ content is sourced, impactful and on brand and endorses the big story of the brand at a local level.
  • Building a national community of followers who are excited to engage with the company’s Innovation journey
  • Support on email marketing when required, including managing, and curating our regular newsletters
  • Be the brand guardian, ensuring brand guidelines, correct terminology, and tone of voice are adhered to in all written materials and communications
  • Establish and maintain clear processes and documentation to ensure smooth and effective collaboration across internal teams and external partners/agencies.
  • Manage a Visual Content Producer to create videos and images for use on social media and other marketing channels based on the strategic needs of the business, and requests
  • Create regular social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Monitor and track social content performance and use to keep company updated on wins, using learnings to inform future content and channel strategies.
  • Support on copywriting and proofreading as required for website pages, and digital and print marketing materials 
  • Supporting on the creation of website pages and keep content up to date on the website, in collaboration with our web design agency and central marketing team
  • Own the SEO business success story, monitor SEO and make amends on the website, in digital copy, and on Google Business Profile to improve organic traffic, work on back link strategy with all relevant business stakeholders and always be proactive in seeking improvements
  • Manage our image library with support from the team
  • Key results measurement: 
  • Positive feedback from members and wider Project Team

  • Demonstration of company values 
 
About you:
  • Self-starter who can continue to evolve this role in our scaling business
  • At least 5 years' experience in a content management role 
  • Have previous experience working for a national or multi-site brand with multiple audience demographics.
  • Experienced copywriter with perfect spelling and grammar.
  • Proven experience creating brand content and campaigns specifically for social media across multiple products and audiences.
  • Experience in creating content for Start-ups, Scale-ups, Local Council, Education establishments beneficial
  • Previously owned the end-to-end project lifecycle of content creation, social media strategy and execution.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with strong SEO knowledge and digital content best practices
  • Eye for design and creating on-brand content
  • Superior analytical skills – so you can tell us what’s working and what’s not
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in the business of all levels from senior leadership team to apprentices
