The Role
Seeking to increase its influence, membership and portfolio of products while enhancing is mission to promote the highest standards in the investment industry, the Marketing & Creative team is committed to adopting bold and innovative solutions to support these ambitions. The studio is a key tenet of this approach. The establishment of an in-house creative agency. - Growing reliance on external agencies to produce materials
- Less consistency, reduced quality and more time needed to execute projects
- Less ability to react timely to changes in strategy and/or market conditions
- Higher costs due to outsourcing work to multiple agencies
- Serve as the Institute's in-house creative agency, meeting the company's creative needs while looking to reduce costs where appropriate and improving the quality and speed of output.
- Adopt what is known as a 'hybrid' model whereby key creative functions are brought together in-house and will work with and direct external agencies as demand requires or specialist expertise are needed.
- Work towards operating on an internal charging basis which will bring transparency to the true cost of marketing services and help create a more commercial and cost-conscious culture.
- Responsible for onboarding and managing all commissioning with external agencies. Not only will this reduce the number of agencies we work with but also ensure that work is only outsourced when it cannot be completed internally. It will also reduce instances of 'doubling up' where different teams are commissioning similar work from different agencies.
- Under the first phase, Bring design direction and multimedia services in house, bringing together new and existing resources under a single operation. Once this team is established and the business model has been proven, expand to include other creative services.
- 3-5 years+ experience as a studio manager
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- keep track of inventory and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, creative teams, and other staff members.
- Explain complex technical concepts and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of a creative studio. Be able to troubleshoot problems and keep the studio running smoothly.
- Motivate and lead a team of creative professionals. They need to be able to set clear goals and expectations, and provide feedback and guidance.
- Basic understanding of business principles, such as budgeting, marketing, and sales. They need to be able to manage the studio's finances and ensure that it is profitable.
- Think creatively and come up with new ideas. They need to be able to see the big picture and envision how different elements of a project will come together.
