The Role:
Our client are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to head up their BA function. You’ll be responsible for understanding and interpreting client requirements for digital solutions and will lead in shaping and prioritising digital product backlogs based on client value, delivery feasibility, and to support delivery cycles and manage business handover to client teams.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Strategically and operationally lead and grow the Business Analysis team- Identify and establish best practice across the BA function
- Translate client business/org objectives into digital product requirements
- Managing the backlog from feature design through to story definition
- Identifying prioritization criteria based on client impact and delivery feasibility for prioritizing and sizing the backlog (along RICER or other best practice standards)
- Prioritising the backlog to provide business value and meet objectives
- Setting workstream goals, success measures and subsequent reporting
- Contributing to the work of business managers and strategic product owners to define a product strategy and roadmap
- Working closely with the client and development team to create detailed and complete user stories
- Leading activities and engagement with stakeholders to elicit scope and requirements, such as demonstrations, business training and handover of the solution
- Supporting the delivery lifecycle and team in solutions design and implementation
- Attending stand ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives
- Working closely with the experience, solution engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure the solution is in line with business goals
- Supporting triage during testing cycles
Skills & Experience:
You will have demonstrable Business Analyst experience, ideally in a digital product consultancy, agency or similar company. We are looking for someone that has:
- Several years’ experience as a digital business analyst across a major digital product or digital product portfolio
- Full project and development lifecycle experience, from requirements capture and design through to supporting the testing and delivery
- Knowledge of digital product solutions and best practice approaches and methodologies
- A great understanding of responsive websites, IA/UX, prototyping, design, build and third-party integration
- Experience in defining, growing and leading a team of high performing BA professionals
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and clients
- Experience of digital products using Digital Experience Platforms (such as Optimizely, Adobe, Sitecore, Acquia or similar)
- Experience of defining and delivering client centric product handover and training programmes
- Working knowledge of current and emerging web technologies
- Recognisable Business Analyst certification
