The Role
This highly attractive and dynamic business are accelerating their expansion in the UK and in Europe and are now looking for a Head of Sales and Business Development to build their network of retailers and business partners in the UK and in Europe and drive sales through those channels. This is an exciting opportunity for a B2B salesperson who likes the variety and can-do culture of an entrepreneurial business.
As they prepare themselves for the next round of fundraising, you will join at a critical time for the company and will report to the senior management and join a committed team: working closely alongside an experienced Head of Marketing and with the support of a Customer Care specialist.
What will you be doing?- Grow the retailer and business customer network.
- Influence and deliver the retailer and business sales and profit targets.
- Liaise directly with customers to close leads.
- Support the retailer and business customer network to ensure customer retention and secure product reorders.
- Support Marketing with customer demand information to support marketing initiatives.
- Provide responsive and timely communication and share customer feedback with colleagues internally.
- Resolve any queries and issues for retailer and business customers by working closely with the Operations, Marketing and Customer Care teams internally.
- Make sure the product presentation, customer pricing, service, delivery and after sale across our retailer partners is consistent and aligned with their brand
- Actively use and promote the company’s CRM system and keep it up to date
Key Attributes- Experience in business sales and sales funnel optimisation from identifying and researching leads to negotiating and securing contracts.
- Passion for quality consumer products and lifestyle brands, the outdoors and/or the bike culture.
- An entrepreneurial, proactive attitude with an eye for opportunities to help the brand and business grow
- Sales closure and customer support mindset
- Cross-selling and upselling
- An instinct for building and cultivating good relationships.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Problem solving and tenacity.
- Sound judgment around commercial value, short-term vs. long term benefits and time management.
- Valid driving license to visit retailers and business partners across the UK and Europe.
Desirable:- Previous experience in the bike industry
- Proficiency with CRM platforms
