Role:
Our client are looking for an experienced Engagement Manager to join their UK Marketing function. Working closely with the Director of Content Strategy, you will manage their digital presence, engage and nurture important community groups (some of which are already established) using a variety of digital platforms, social media and tools including running our email nurture programme.
Your activity will raise their multiple brand profiles. You’ll be responsible for promoting their thought leadership content to educate their communities about sales prospecting, generating new business enquiries and recommendations. You will be tech-savvy, experienced in social media, PR and promotional events, with exceptional oral and written communication skills to develop engaging content. As the face and voice of their brand, you should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.
This is an exciting role in a relatively new team so there is huge potential to make your mark in a fast-growing business and within a supportive, close-knit team.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities- You will be accountable for their social, communities and support our email campaigns for both prospect and existing clients.
- Set and implement paid and organic social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies for both business and employer brand
- Working alongside their CRM and Systems integration lead to plan and execute our email nurture programme
- Reporting on social and campaign nurture activity
- Research, identify and engage existing digital communities and establish new ones too
- Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts and email campaigns.
- Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Organise and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
- Coordinate with the business to ensure that they are aware of your progress and that you are aware of client feedback, trends and needs
- Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and the competitive landscape.
- Proven experience and ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties as requested by senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience managing virtual communities, with experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building a digital forum, launching an ambassador program and creating an event series)
- Hands on experience with social media management for brands
- Experience in paid social ads, building audiences, running and optimising campaigns
- Experience running email nurture programmes to specific groups of prospects and customers
- Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to interpret website traffic and digital customer engagement metrics
- Knowledge of digital marketing and marketing channels
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Commercially minded with an understanding of the B2B sales cycle and the types of challenges faced by business owners, sales, and marketing professionals
- Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit; you are passionate, persuasive and inspiring
- An orientation toward action and passion for execution
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
