DRC are working with a highly successful business who are expanding their Digital marketing team and you will have the opportunity to be a part of this inspiring and talented new team whilst working in a brand-new role.The Role:Our client has embarked on a transformation journey to support their business strategy which includes modernising their operating model as well as their technology architecture.As the Product Owner, you will have the responsibility for a product area within the larger digital domain, driving product strategy, roadmap and execution for that by leading a team of business analysts and working closely with the technology shared services’ team (architecture, engineering etc.) to help ensure quality of delivery, measure performance and communicate progress to stakeholders. As a Product Owner you will be supporting the implementation and measurement of continuous change across the digital platforms. The Digital Experience team will define and manage customer experience through 3 product areas; Customer Engagement, Conversion and Content & Product, all reporting directly to the Digital Experience Product Manager. The Conversion PO will focus on maximising the customer experience through improved customer journeys, optimised search and merchandising. The PO will help ensure that onsite visits convert to store visits in order to maximise salesYour Responsibilities:Working with Business stakeholders, set vision for your products using industry knowledge, functional expertise and your understanding of the business context. Support the business owner in defining objectives that will influence the product visionLeading the development team in delivering value to the userManaging live products to ensure value is being delivered to end users. Ensuring BAU operations are achieved, and system availability is maintainedAccountable for maximising the value of the product resulting from work of the development team and through its end-to-end lifecycleResponsible for the product development and operations, participating in planning (Sprint and Product increment) and providing a refined and precisely prioritised product backlog for the development teamUnderstanding user needs, how the business works and driving the development of the product through clear prioritisation. Envisaging and understand the final product and convey the value it creates and what problems it solvesUnderstand Agile estimation approaches and support the delivery team in being self-managingCombine awareness of the relevant business area, the retail market and their customers to ensure products satisfy all threeIdentify trends and keep up to date of new technical developments which could improve or redefine the product and customer experienceSupport the operationalisation of the product into the wider organisation and ensure adoption of products across the organisationSupport the delivery of products from product launch to measuring engagement, working closely with the engineering teamSupport their transformation by proactively educating colleagues within technology and wider about agile methodologies and product managementSkills & ExperiencesOver 3 years’ experience in business relationship management in a digital environmentIndustry or functional expertise validated through experience working for a RetailerAble to clearly articulate the evolution of products through design thinking and user story mappingAn appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experiencePreferably a certification in Agile Product Ownership, Scaled Agile or equivalentThe Successful candidate will haveBe a passionate and visionary technologist able to inspire others to challenge and disrupt the current reality to co-create a compelling technology-orientated future business by:Being able to scan potential technologies (established, emerging and emergent)Finding ways to translate that into business opportunitiesBe able to take people along with you, empowering new ways of working and successfully executing on those opportunitiesPossess proven experience in establishing and growing productsHave excellent knowledge of relevant business portfolio and functional expertiseConsistent record of driving service and delivery improvementCommercial management experience and financial literacyExcellent communication skills – relatability to non-technical business users and technical resourcesExcellent people leadership skillsWhat nextCurious to know more and discuss the company opportunity, and their benefits further?
