Head of Content and Social

The Digital Recruitment Company are looking for an experienced, commercially, and creatively minded Head of Content, to join the global marketing team of a leading global technology provider and specialist distributor. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a results-driven content strategy across our digital channels. The successful candidate will have a passion for storytelling and developing inspiring and innovative data-driven content that creates great experiences and inspires action.
The Role- Develop and implement the content strategy to support the company goals that drives reach, reputation, and revenue.
- Manage the development of a strategic, integrated content strategy to drive optimised performance through targeted digital channels
Develop an editorial content plan and calendar for always-on and campaign content - Develop and manage brand standards and style across content formats to effectively represent the brand in the marketplace
- Develop and manage a structured approach to content marketing and content creation and optimisation
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop highly effective content for global corporate content marketing
- Partner effectively with key stakeholders including marketing, sales and data teams
- Proactively develop an understanding of business and IT trends, issues and major priorities for customers and vendors
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and executives to identify opportunities and develop thought leadership and insight content
- Implement and measure appropriate measurement systems that track performance against business objectives, define KPIs and manage content reporting
- Curate and report on relevant industry and competitive activity and themes to shape strategies
- Coach and train colleagues, supporting the development of training content as required
Manage and implement appropriate governance - Manage relevant external agencies as required
- Source relevant external agencies and resources as required
- Manage content and social team
ABOUT YOU- 5+ years in a marketing management role with proven experience in content marketing and people management
- Experience working in B2B, ideally in tech and within multi-national enterprise organisations
Excellent content marketing and social media knowledge and skills across strategy and tactics - Excellent copywriting, storytelling and editing skills
Ability to create large scale and compelling value propositions and campaigns - Experience using marketing analytics technology, high level of competency across Microsoft suite
- Team management skills and experience, including agency management
- Data-driven and able to apply insights to strategy development and optimisation
- A passion for digital marketing and marketing trends
- A keen interest and understanding of B2B technology
- A natural problem solver
- Customer centric, focused on understanding customer needs and improving customer experience
- Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills, and building/maintaining collaborative relationships, people management, a confident presenter
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, flexible and resilient
Experience working at an EMEA level in a geographically dispersed team
