The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Proposition Manager who would oversee the definition, management, and delivery of all their propositions. This prominent role will help execute on this organisation’s Group Strategy to power financial advisers’ businesses through insight and integrated tools, services and investment solutions that help them to differentiate their own client propositions.
You will report to the Proposition and Insight Director
What You'll Do
The main duties will be to engage and lead discussions with senior stakeholders, customers, clients, and third-party experts, to define their propositions of the future; then these will need to be prioritised, business cases developed (and approved) and then solutions clearly defined – and then sourced either internally through their technology, operations, and marketing teams, or via third party sources.
The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need- Taking responsibility for defining and building new propositions and products and ensuring the effectiveness several new , effectiveness of existing offerings
- Ensure all new proposition and product developments are clear and customer friendly, by testing and receiving feedback from key stakeholders
- Clearly define our proposition and insight priorities and ensure that the best possible solutions are sourced (either internal or external) to deliver on these
- Work closely with our Change teams and the Digital team to implement clear value propositions and product direction
- Actively working with our Sales and Relationship teams to understand the need and demand from our customers to design our future propositions.
- Build the company’s advantage message for each proposition that can be clearly disseminated across our teams and partner firms.
- Establish and build relationships with stakeholders to support the provision of quality and timely information and analysis to inform business decisions
- Present at Business Development seminars, sponsored events, attend industry events to represent the organisation and its companies, as appropriate
- Developing business cases that incorporate the financial benefit, customer benefit and potential revenue of new propositions
- Working with marketing to effectively communicate their proposition
What You’ll Need to succeed
- Degree, or equivalent qualification level; preferably in business
- Extensive background working within Financial Services, specifically the Financial Planning / IFA and wrap/platform markets
- Solid background in a proposition management role as well as knowledge of planning principles within the Financial Planning profession (drivers, valuation criteria, customer segmentation frameworks etc)
- Demonstrable experience of building and developing market leading propositions; a very high level of commercial awareness
- Proven ability to think strategically and creatively, to implement effective short, medium, and long-term plans
- Strong networking and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal/presentation), organisational skills and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to work independently and part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience of IT CRM systems and processes
- Valid UK driving licence
- Tenacious, resilient, self-starter
- Able to act on own initiative, with drive and determination
