Salary:£70,000 - £85,000
Location:Reading – 4 WFH 1 day a week in the office.

The Role
The SEO Manager will be experienced in developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to help drive the company’s growth. You will be responsible for managing the SEO Team, implementing the SEO roadmap, and working with teams across the business to ensure the sites are built to be search engine friendly while also proactively driving ongoing enhancements and changes as needed. The SEO manager should have the ability to educate and influence wider teams on the importance of SEO in the wider digital roadmap and enhancement of the website.
Your Responsibilities
- Accountable for the creating, implementing, and driving the overall SEO roadmap, leading the SEO team in prioritising key activities that align with the business goals and ambitions.
- Work closely with the digital trading, content, and web production teams to ensure the site is fully optimised for SEO and the right content is being created to drive SEO projects.
- Work closely with the wider digital marketing team to ensure SEO projects fit within the wider strategy and with ongoing campaigns.
- Establish working relationships with Buying teams; to ensure SEO projects are informed by the product calendar.
- Continuously partner with the Digital Teams to implement SEO standards during site redesigns, product rollouts, major and minor enhancements, and new site features.
- Full ownership of SEO budget.
- Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing to establish SEO as a key pillar in the digital roadmap, collaborating with and influencing the Digital Team on the importance of SEO.
- Design and deliver interactive web experiences, optimizing landing pages for SEO opportunities that result in significant and measurable improvements in understanding and revenue.
- Keep up to date with industry tactics, trends, search engine algorithm updates and competitive landscapes as needed to ensure on-going SEO best practice in your day-to-day work.
- Continuously identify new SEO growth opportunities and areas for improvement by analysing existing content architecture, keyword constructs, and data/traffic analysis.
- Identify gaps, technical SEO issues and incidents on the site and work with key stakeholders to create solutions.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the SEO Team, ensuring the team has a vision and clear objectives.
- Be a champion for all thing’s SEO, proactively sharing ideas and recommendations to the rest of the business.
- Lead, motivate and educate colleagues on SEO standard methodologies, keyword research processes, and opportunity analyses.
- Provide periodic and regular updates to team members & key partners on project status, timelines, and results.
- Compile retrospectives to analyse technical changes and report findings to key stakeholders across the business in a meaningful and engaging manor.
Experience
- 3-5 years’ B2C SEO Experience (including experience at manager level, leading a team of SEO talent) with demonstrated experience developing and executing an SEO roadmap with proven success, ideally within the digital/retail space.
- Experience with Google Analytics, as well as SEO tools such as Majestic, Screaming Frog, Botify, Stat, SEMrush, etc.
- Knowledgeable and have a proven track record of successfully implementing SEO tactics, increasing traffic and revenue.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and work within agreed timescales.
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview.
- Deep analytical orientation. Excellent at both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Strong ability to frame issues, drive appropriate analyses, and make clear impactful recommendations.
- Experience managing and developing strong and productive working relationships with external agencies.
- Experience leading and driving teams toward common goal.
- Ability to coach, mentor and manage talent, experience motivating and providing direction to teams.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and within a team.
