The Role:
This role will be a part of the Marketing team, reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications, who are a collaborative team of 11 who are passionate about sharing best practice and approaching work with solid marketing theory in mind. Each team member is charged with developing excellent internal and external relationships and represent the Marketing team to ensure we are valued as approachable experts.
You will plan and implement a firmwide internal communications strategy to align with the achieving the firm’s strategic objectives. Oversee the firm’s employer brand, managing external employer brand communications including overseeing the performance of our recruitment portal.
Responsibilities:
Internal Marketing and Communications- Develop and implement an internal comms and employee engagement strategy.
- Oversee the management and design of our Sharepoint portal (intranet), maximising staff engagement and advising internal teams that use the portal on best practice.
- Draft firmwide employee communications, including ensuring content on our intranet is kept up to date.
- Undertake project work as requested by the Director of Marketing and Communications.
- Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to ensure internal and external employer brand messages are aligned.
- Work with the rest of the Marketing team to identify and implement better working practices to enable the team to work more efficiently.
- Put in place appropriate metrics and undertake analysis to demonstrate the effectiveness of your activities, making use of existing metrics wherever possible.
- Promote greater awareness of marketing’s capabilities and skillset internally.
- Analyse and make the best use of the firm’s data for marketing purposes.
- Adhere to and manage specific marketing and project budgets.
- Prepare and deliver reporting related to your areas of responsibility.
- Help to develop and promote tools and content to assist internal colleagues to stay on brand.
- Provide assistance and training to other members of the firm in the use and maintenance of marketing and firmwide tools.
- Support the promotion of the firm’s CRS activities and advise on how to increase employee engagement in this area.
- Work closely with our Director of Marketing and Communications and HR team, to develop an employer brand marketing plan.
- Assess, advise and apply promotion via appropriate channels and tools to implement external employer brand.
- Ensure recruitment promotions and communications are aligned with our brand and corporate narrative.
- Work with our internal HR team to manage the firm’s Glassdoor profile, ensuring a timely response to every review.
- Work with our internal HR team to promote the firm to prospective recruits, developing role specific campaigns where necessary.
- Work with our HR team to manage the performance of our recruitment portal (microsite) using Google Analytics and other tools to analyse performance and inform recommendations for improvements.
- External Communications:
- Take ownership of certain projects and campaigns, liaising with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to ensure deadlines and budgets are met; including firmwide content and our clients annual CRS report.
- Managing Others:
- Line manage a number of staff at different levels and roles to help drive agreed activity, maintain accountability and report back to the business on progress.
- Work with direct reports to support their performance development.
- Work to maximise collaboration within the marketing team, proactively seeking cross team opportunities.
Other:- Assist the rest of the marketing team with proof-reading and copy-editing of marketing materials.
- Promote, train staff and act as a guardian for the brand, style guide and tone of voice.
- Take part in the strategic planning process.
Experience:
Essential- Degree (Minimum 2:2), or equivalent
- Proven marketing and communications (including digital experience)
- Ability to utilise experience to improve marketing processes; ability to embed new processes to ensure best practice around communications in the team
- Experience of liaising with and managing external stakeholders such as suppliers and journalists
- Excellent attention to detail; with exemplary copywriting, copyediting and proof reading abilities

- Experience of internal communications planning and budgeting, campaign conception, implementation and measurement
- Excellent organisational, project and time management and communication skills
- Able to build collaborative relationships with firmwide senior staff members and own marketing team
Desirable:- English or journalism degree (Minimum 2:2), or equivalent; Masters in related subject
- CIM or CIPR qualification or similar
- Experience of working in a professional services firm or partnership structure
- Experience of liaising with media
- Experience of managing suppliers and freelance resource
IT Skills:- Intermediate IT skills, in particular MS Office (mandatory)
- Use of Sharepoint and news feed tools (ideal)
- Experience of using InDesign or Illustrator (ideal)
- Experience of website content management systems, social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter)
- Experience of performance measurement tools such as Google Analytics / social media listening tools
