Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a global Online Trading investment management organisation who have operations in 20 countries and manage £1Trillion worth of assets for clients. They are looking to grow the digital distribution which has brought CRM, marketing and tech together.
The Role:
Reporting into the Senior Paid Search Manager under the Global Head of Paid Search, you will be responsible for helping to manage Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Apple Search campaigns globally, across multiple brands and finance/fintech verticals.
The role will initially involve more didactic and directed tasks, but the right candidate is expected to be immediately involved in inputting in the development of strategy, paid search campaigns and creative production. The right candidate would see a rapid path to increasing self-management to plan and execute on stakeholder briefs.
In this fast-moving industry, being able to efficiently manage your time and prioritise workflows is as essential as a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills and implementing appropriate systems to check and monitor new strategies, campaigns, and budget delivery to ensure efficiency in testing and spend.
A data-driven and analytical approach is essential as is being able to work successfully in a team and develop good relationships locally and across the business. Our client is looking for someone with a few years in paid search but, more importantly, the right candidate will demonstrate strong acumen in and understanding of search marketing, and ideally will have some background knowledge of retail trading, gambling and/or fintech more broadly.
Responsibilities will include, but are by no means limited to:
- Able to articulate information and thinking clearly to line managers, stakeholders, and peers
- Creation and management of search campaigns including campaign structure, keyword research, ad copy and landing pages, across the web, mobile and app environments
- Improving efficiency and maximizing the ROI of paid search by way of implementing best practices, process and optimisation techniques including:
- Implementing and testing bid strategies designed to maximize KPIs
- Increasing keyword Quality Scores
- Increasing impression share
- Ad copy testing to increase CTR
- Landing page A/B testing to increase CVR
- Search query report analysis
- Competitor monitoring and research
- Experimenting with audience targeting and layering
- Keyword research into local financial market events that have the potential to increase demand for our products
- Monitoring volatility in the financial markets and reacting to take advantage of heightened interest in our products
- Create briefs for the production of assets designed to improve performance including ad copy and landing pages, considering audience research and profiling
- Working closely with the local marketing team to:
- Ensure keywords, ad copy and landing page content speak to the local audiences
- Identify opportunities where paid search can support local marketing initiatives
- Contribute to the strategic acquisition roadmap
- Implementing tracking and redirects so performance can be monitored on various platforms
- Analysis of the full paid search funnel, from impressions all the way through to new traded account ROI to ensure each touch point in the journey is optimized
Experience and skills:
- Previous experience working with sizeable paid search budgets and managing multiple accounts
- Hands on experience and knowledge of paid search auctions, bidding strategies, optimisation and testing methods and account management
- Proven track record of improving keyword quality scores and increasing return from advertising spend
- Persuasive communicator, both orally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple programs in a highly dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions and outcomes
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
- Up-to-date Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Apple Search Ads certifications
Desired Skills:
- Comfortable working with a data management platform (DMP)
- Knowledge of Apple iOS paid search and Google UAC
- An understanding of the financial markets, forex, CFD and online trading
- Experienced in using 3rd party bidding technology, SA360 preferred
- Understanding of wider marketing ecosystem and tech stacks, such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics Free/360, Power BI, Jira,
