Senior SEO Manager / Head of
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (Flexible) + Package
Location: London or WFH (up to 5 days a week)

The Organisation:
Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with an international fintech high-growth business. This company have created an innovative app that helps kids learn to manage money in a digital and cashless world, and you would be joining their fast-growing team. Their clients product teams turn their vision into reality. Each product team is responsible for
executing a strategy which is core to that vision, from growth, through financial pillars, financial literacy, family network, payments and more. Product teams are cross-functional, with their own design and tech resources, so each team can work as a mini-start up to independently execute and measure the success of their strategy.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Reporting to the UK Marketing Director and working closely with Editorial, Product Marketing, Product Owners, Communications, and Performance Marketing your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Complete ownership of the ‘UK SEO’ & ‘UK SEO-Content’ program, inclusive of:
    • Clear strategic planning, forecasting, attribution and alignment to business goals
    • Technical SEO
    • SEO-Content
    • Link building
    • Measurement
    • Resourcing needs
    • Agency management
  • Develop an SEO strategy for the marketing properties (main website, navigation pages, blog, landing pages and YouTube).
  • Lead, but with supporting input from Editorial, Product and Product Marketing, the ideation of new content topics (and content clusters) that capitalise on organic search demand but also closely align to our Products
  • Define the technical SEO workstream within our marketing site properties and partner with our Engineers to execute the highest priority tasks.
  • Forecast the impact of the SEO strategy, expected revenue, and payback period.
  • Develop a roadmap to execute the proposed strategy with clear milestones, identify constraints, and pinpoint specific dependencies.
  • Lead complex deep dives to understand performance gaps and opportunities to unlock growth including website audits, crawl analysis, keyword research etc.
  • Manage the SEO-Content production process (in house and external writers, producers)
  • Eventually optimise SEO traffic for CRO (supported by our Experimentation Lead)
  • Collect SEO requests from the broader organization, prioritize them with our web experience team based on impact vs effort and educate the organisation around best practices for SEO
  • Define and roll out a measurement framework for SEO
  • Manage an SEO agency who will support your role
 
Experience
 
  • 4-6 years of in-house or agency experience.
  • Entrepreneurial, must autonomously drive clarity (and positive impact) from ambiguity.
  • Previously built an SEO operation from inception to large scale.
  • Proven track record of implementing SEO onsite and offsite best practices and building internal processes to ensure they are continuously followed (product led search strategy)
  • Have experience working with content operations - scaling number of writers, editors, and managing editors.
  • Have experience working closely with engineers to execute technical SEO tasks.
  • Strong analytical capability and a structured approach to driving a deep backlog
  • Have experience creating user journeys and matching the current SEO strategy with it.
  • Experience working with cross-functional groups and leading complex projects to completion
  • Ability to be independent on analysing opportunities and performance
  • Structured and organised with attention to detail
