The Role:
My client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Front-End Developer to help them build the next generation of web services, applications and innovations. They are looking for a HTML, CSS and JavaScript specialist with a mind-set that is proactive and promotes speed-to-market.
The responsibilities of the role:
- To work with all team members of Digital Distribution to deliver on new initiatives as well as some legacy work
- Manage a team of three budding front-end developers to ensure:
- Their skills are developed regularly
- They are testing new initiatives
- You are departing your wisdom, knowledge and experience of Front-end-development onto them
- To develop a new pipeline of tests to ensure we are being progressive in our approach to front-end
- To work and support the inbound marketing team to turn visitors into leads (or to increase interaction on web pages)
- To ensure that everything we do achieves the following:
- Is integrated into the new platform (Adobe Experience Manager)
- Everything you do has a measurable output (leads, CTA clicks or sales)

Experience and skills:
- Impeccable HTML and CSS skills
- Advanced JavaScript web development skills
- Lots of experience working within the Angular and React frameworks
- Experience working with RESTful API development and consumption
- Relevant experience executing on front-end development initiatives that integrated into the Adobe Experience Manager platform (you must have working experience within Adobe Experience Manager)
- You can work in an agile project environment however also to a more fluid lab style environment where creativity guides the process (and not user stories)
- Previous experience working as a front-end developer in the retail sector for example John Lewis or another FMGC brand. Important to note here that we are not looking for individuals experienced in financial services
- You will have demonstrable experience leveraging websites to generate leads or to achieve a focused online goal such as call-to-action clicks, online form submissions etc…
- You will have experience and impeccable knowledge of how to properly integrate Google Analytics for example using the Google event tracking code for button clicks and document downloads etc
- Demonstrable creative skills. We don’t want robots, we want people who are not afraid to do something a little different to let the statistics speak for themselves
- You will be an expert at identifying and executing conversion rate optimisation initiatives to increase online goal conversions (you will also have a solid understanding of A&B testing)
- Experience building front end experiences to engage and harvest traffic from key online channels such as PPC, Google Display, LinkedIn, Email and other key online channels
- Experience working to support inbound marketing teams
- A solid understanding and proven strong experience on how Marketing Automation and Lead scoring is used by inbound marketing teams to generate leads
- Team management experience, this job is 80% hands-on and 20% team management
