The Organisation:

Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a tech-based company whose SaaS is used to help salespeople all around the world close deals. They are a sales management business which is designed to help small sales teams manage processes. They work with some of the most well-known brands globally and have over 80,000 customers across 170 countries.

After recently closing a £50m investment they are looking to further expand their London team.

The Role:

My client is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to work within the inbound marketing team, spearheading all digital content across the business. Your content will attract and convert potential business owners and managers into long lasting customers.

You will be responsible for:

  • Take full ownership of the content marketing strategy to increase customer acquisition and onboarding clients
  • Write engaging content with a focus on turning your audience into customers for the business
  • Work with Sales and Customer Success to qualify and route leads, and synchronise data from lead nurturing content programs
  • Work with analysts to find insightful trends in our data to share with our audience
  • Ensure content ultimately meets our business requirement of new signups
  • Take a data-driven approach to understand which content performs best and why
  • Play a role in hiring and managing a team of editors to realise your content vision
  • Optimize the content production process and build quality control mechanisms
  • Develop content collaborations by establishing strategic relationships with industry experts, brand partners, external publishers, customers, and internal teams
  • Produce the weekly and monthly leads newsletter to promote content
  • Develop gated content, lead magnets and nurture flows to capitalise on blog traffic and guide potential customers through the funnel
  • Manage a cross-functional committee to develop and prioritize new content ideas
  • Work directly with executive stakeholders to shape the content strategy

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role overseeing content strategy
  • Previous experience managing or developing team members
  • A proven track record of audience development is a necessity and understanding of content distribution tactics is important
  • Confidence using platforms such as Vero and Mailchimp for managing email marketing and newsletters
  • Experience using marketing automation tools to manage lead nurturing programs
  • Outstanding technical experience with copywriting, editing and storytelling
  • Organisational skills to effectively manage a content production process
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal)
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics (or similar tools) to understand the performance of content
  • Experience using content management systems to publish content
  • Experience in SaaS or B2B is a huge plus
