The Organisation:

Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with a very well-established bank in Cyprus. They were founded in 1976 and had the backing from Bank of America and Barclaycard. During the debt crisis in Greece rather than borrowing from the government this organisation was re-capitalised through investment from Hedge Funds and large US Tech companies.

The Role:

This position is responsible for setting the revenue growth plans and pillar revenue targets. You will be responsible for leading the sales strategy, forward looking revenue projections and developing the plan to implement the approach. The position will identify digital revenue opportunities for the organization, develop clear and measurable targets and own regular reporting and accountability to the Open Banking Committee.

You will facilitate the periodic performance target setting / interlock process between the Innovation Centre and the retail/corporate/IBC business. In your role you will engage directly with all business partners and pan group partners to ensure we are jointly meeting or actively remediating against our digital performance aspirations. You will work closely with the digital product owners within Innovation Centre using your performance insight to identify improvement opportunities to be developed.

The responsibilities of the role:

  • Serve as Digital marketplace landscape expert internally and with partners
  • Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared
  • Maintain and grow key marketplace relationships and technology platform partners
  • Partner selection recommendation and justification designed to deliver on digital channel KPIs using the most sophisticated use of data and analytics, via multi-faceted, strategic partnerships, while delivering maximum strategic value and efficiency
  • Identify and present new and emerging partners and opportunities in the marketplace
  • Maintain a sales funnel of categorised ideas and potential partners
  • Design and maintain a sales pitch toolkit and process for multiple business models and pricing policies
  • Design monetisation strategies in alignment with the digital roadmap
  • Map partners to Open Banking business models
  • Participate in new business development and presentations
  • E2E Business Performance analysis, KPI and reporting owner
  • Global & Industry level benchmarking
  • Digital Commercial MIS requirement definition & delivery facilitation
  • Digital governance forum report production
  • Stakeholder management for run performance (marketing, product, channel, branch etc.)
  • Synthesise data, interpret finding and present well thought-out recommendation to drive business results
  • Identify Business issues & objectives based on a current understanding of Customers, Competitors and the Marketplace
  • Performance Control function – overall run of the KPI target interlock process, KPI adherence, variance analysis /insight
  • Forecasting and reporting
  • Implement and Run loyalty schemes under Digital
  • Create insightful and relevant presentations to present to the Digital Ambassadors and key customers
  • E2E business change / improvement proposal input / facilitation

Experience and skills:

  • Team player – ability to manage work in cross functional teams and inspire high performance from colleagues
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong business and commercial performance acumen
  • Strong business performance analytical skills/analytics experience
  • Comfortable working with multiple sources of internal and external performance data and benchmarking
  • Previous experience of performance management in SME banking, Retail banking, digital commerce, sales, servicing, customers’ management – highly desirable
  • Ability to prepare and present structured coherent performance results and underlying causes to a senior audience
  • Ability to develop a digital culture and inspire/train staff on digital offerings accordingly
  • Marketing skills and capabilities across a variety of industries
  • A background of converting complex customer and market data into digital communications
  • The ability to manage a brand as a strategic asset, and deliver that brand via various channels
  • Motivated self-starter; a problem solver, enjoys creating something new
  • Exceptional ability to build rapport both internally and externally
  • Ability to apply a formal sales methodology
