The role

The purpose of the Digital Business Analyst role to aid further growth in our ecommerce, digital advertising and social media channels globally by executing digital and ecommerce plans and providing analysis to support marketing, promotional and business decisions.

Reporting to: Head of Global Digital Development


Digital Analytics

  • Report on the digital and online business using an agreed Digital Dashboard KPI format, reporting on weekly and monthly basis as decided by the senior team
  • Own business analytics for all digital and online aspects of the business for the company, both in the UK and Internationally, to include:
  • Analysis of paid and organic social media activity against pre-agreed KPIs and target ROI
  • Analysis of paid search, display, etc, against pre-agreed KPIs and target ROI
  • Analysis of all paid advertising against pre-agreed KPIs and target ROI
  • Monitor competitors as part of all analysis


  • Own analysis of the company website performance, reporting back and suggesting improvements
  • Run Google Analytics weekly and monthly to provide meaningful data to the team
  • Constantly monitor and update website, adding new products and content as requested
  • Be responsible for change and project management processes for website to ensure that agreed enhancements are made and bugs removed to the agreed timeline
  • Carry out keyword research for PPC/SEO, lead SEO improvements on the website
  • Implement the SEO strategy through site, and assist in SEO activities to monitor results and competitor activity, eg by using key word searches
  • Execute the monthly marketing email and blog post plans, following the strategy and schedule set by the Head of Digital Development


  • Conduct reviews of all current activity on all social platforms, and determine key strategies to develop each further
  • Execute social posts (for static, GIF, video and stories) in line with the calendar determined by the Head of Digital Development, with assets provided
  • Continually monitor social activities of competitive brands to assess most engaging, effective content

Paid Advertising

  • A/B test where relevant, reporting on results to wider business
  • Provide post-campaign reports for all activities
  • Gather search term information and work with account teams to ensure paid search strategy does not overlap with key retail partners

International & Key Retailer Support

  • Assist commercial team to gain understanding of effectiveness of retailer run campaigns and promotions
  • Work with relevant teams in external partner websites to maximise brand visibility and sales eg by ensuring that third party copy is search optimised


  • Detailed technical knowledge of all aspects paid & organic digital marketing, social media, SEO, and the online customer journey
  • Knowledge of industry suppliers and software in the digital & social spaces, especially any analytic software
  • Efficient and hard working with sleeves rolled up mentality and be able to think creatively to deliver with tight budgets and timescales
  • Commercially astute with brilliant analytic skills
  • Considers presenting data to a less digitally knowledgeable audience a strength
  • Experience in google analytics, facebook ads manager and other analytic sources required by the business
  • Ability to code strongly preferred, but not essential
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, and help the wider team as required in areas outside of direct responsibilities
