The Organisation:

Digital Careers, part of the Digital Recruitment Company is currently working with an award-winning agency specialising across media, social, content and PR. They have been around for over 10 years and work with brands including the NFL, Oracle, Tesco and bareMinerals.

The Role:

The Account Manager will have experience in PPC and have strong capabilities in other paid media channels (social, paid, display). This role requires you to have an understanding of the ways in which channels and interact and complement one another in order to executive a high-performance paid campaign.

The responsibilities of the role:

  • To work closely with clients to ensure a full understanding of their business, digital needs and priorities
  • To work closely with the Head of Digital and Account Director to ensure all accounts have a performance & commercial strategy
  • To work closely with suppliers to ensure that the team are constantly at the forefront of industry developments and, when suitable, we are trialing these new tactics for our clients
  • Ensure all activity meets or exceeds the client’s performance expectations
  • To manage budgets in line with strategy and ensure that monthly spend is on target
  • Management of 2 junior members of the team to ensure that work is delivered to an exceptional standard, on target and on time
  • Quality control of work conducted by junior and more operational members of the team
  • Departmental Development

Experience and skills:

  • 5 years of working in PPC
  • Proven track record of delivering projects and results for clients with monthly budgets of £10,000+
  • Proven track record of achieving ecommerce targets (sales and revenue volume, CPA, ROI, ROAS)
  • Proven track record of developing junior team members
  • Proven track record of bringing efficiency to client activity in terms of both performance and resource levels
  • Experience of working in travel/retail/insurance beneficial
  • Experience of executing campaigns within other Paid Media channels beneficial (training will be provided if not as eventually the role will encompass this responsibility)
  • Proven ability to cross sell/up sell
  • Very much a people person
  • Strong understanding of wider digital channels and environment
  • Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to independently research news stories, industry developments or opportunities and relay these to the wider business – we are looking for pro-active individuals
  • Highly organised with an acute attention to detail
  • Exceptional level of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, including use and creation of Excel formula
  • Capabilities with AdWords scripts or Java beneficial
  • Additional language capabilities beneficial
